Kristofer Whittaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarrod Bates in the 4th minute of the match. Rodrick Cerna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Kristofer Whittaker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Pine Crest AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jarrod Bates came free, but Kristofer Whittaker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rodrick Cerna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Jarrod Bates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristofer Whittaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristofer Whittaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarrod Bates, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Julian Hammer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Deshawn Andrews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Barnwell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berry Jimenez to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deshawn Andrews got free with Don Doyle in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Don Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Hammer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Hammer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Doyle having to interfere. Don Doyle made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Deshawn Andrews sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Hammer in the 44th minute of play forced Barnwell's goalkeeper Don Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Julian Hammer came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Pine Crest AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Hammer couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berry Jimenez during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barnwell's Berry Jimenez got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 62 minutes into the match, Rodrick Cerna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristofer Whittaker. Pine Crest AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrick Cerna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 65th minute, Jarrod Bates got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Pine Crest AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Luke to maneuver through the defense. Rodrick Cerna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Pine Crest AFC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Adam Lee hit a great ball. Jarrod Bates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarrod Bates in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristofer Whittaker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kristofer Whittaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarrod Bates, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Brad Bernard's late challenge caught a Barnwell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brad Bernard helped the player get up and apologised. Jarrod Bates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
