BAC Mustang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hokie Nation the free kick. After 33 played minutes BAC Mustang got a freekick which was hit by Troy Griffin. After a defensive mix-up in BAC Mustang's zone, Jayson Oberle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Conrad came out of the goal and Jayson Oberle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th match minute, BAC Mustang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Elmore to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Conrad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jayson Oberle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradley Rader could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jonas Conrad made a huge save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Conrad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. BAC Mustang's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
