In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Provincetown AFC's goalkeeper Terry Peck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rufus Arden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Carter having to interfere. Esteban Carter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Henson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noel Maher hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of Dogs FC booed when Provincetown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Henson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rufus Arden made a kick off. Dogs FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Provincetown AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Derek Hurst took the corner. Jeff Henson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elliott Cameron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Peck having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dogs FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
