Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rufus Arden started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the game, Jeff Henson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Provincetown AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hood River AFC the free kick. The supporters of Hood River AFC booed when Provincetown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Henson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Donnie Herring came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Hood River AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donnie Herring couldn't finish the play. Donnie Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donnie Herring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute Josiah Mims shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Peck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Hood River AFC's Donnie Herring sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terry Peck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Josiah Mims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Terry Peck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Provincetown AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Henson. Donnie Herring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donnie Herring in the 29th minute of play forced Provincetown AFC's goalkeeper Terry Peck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Hood River AFC's Felix Koenig got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 41st match minute, Hood River AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josiah Mims to maneuver through the defense. When Donnie Herring came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Hood River AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donnie Herring couldn't finish the play. Donnie Herring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Terry Peck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donnie Herring stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hood River AFC booed when Provincetown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Henson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hood River AFC's Josiah Mims got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Provincetown AFC's zone, Donnie Herring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terry Peck came out of the goal and Donnie Herring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josiah Mims who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Terry Peck when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Provincetown AFC's Terry Peck got control of the ball when Josiah Mims tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Provincetown AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hood River AFC:s goal. Terry Peck had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Ethan Matthews's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 69th minute Donnie Herring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Peck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Provincetown AFC's Jeff Henson got a free kick in the 75th minute. Terry Peck stood somewhat misplaced when Donnie Herring came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Terry Peck came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Hood River AFC's Donnie Herring. But to his dismay, Donnie Herring quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Provincetown AFC's Terry Peck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donnie Herring in the 87th minute of play. When Donnie Herring came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Hood River AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donnie Herring couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Josiah Mims managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hood River AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josiah Mims was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Terry Peck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Terry Peck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitchell Hobbs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Hood River AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Provincetown AFC.
