Miami Heat FC's Alonso Ivy got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonso Ivy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ward Kruse having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezra Holbrook made a kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Ezra Holbrook who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miami Heat FC's Jon Richey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ward Kruse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Ivy in the 55th minute of the match. If Alonso Ivy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dustin Shaver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Richey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Miami Heat FC's Jon Richey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dustin Shaver in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Dustin Shaver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Alonso Ivy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ward Kruse. That made the score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. Jon Richey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezra Holbrook, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerrod Peters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ward Kruse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ward Kruse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerrod Peters in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute of the match Mohammed Petersen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ward Kruse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ward Kruse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Ivy in the 93rd minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Alonso Ivy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ward Kruse, 0-3.
