After 13 minutes, Jarod Godwin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Des Plaines River Rats and the BAC Mustang players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of BAC Mustang booed when Des Plaines River Rats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarod Godwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes Des Plaines River Rats got a freekick which was hit by Jarod Godwin. Glen Ewing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Glen Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenny Monroe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Conrad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Ewing in the 30th minute of play. Jonas Conrad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Monroe, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lenny Monroe made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Lenny Monroe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Des Plaines River Rats's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenny Monroe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Conrad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56thth minute of the game Lenny Monroe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BAC Mustang's Jonas Conrad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lenny Monroe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jonas Conrad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Des Plaines River Rats's Vince Velazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Elmore in the 62nd minute of play. Troy Griffin came free in the 63rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Vince Velazquez, but to the joy of Des Plaines River Rats's supporters the ball went over. Lenny Monroe struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jonas Conrad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Des Plaines River Rats. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of BAC Mustang:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Des Plaines River Rats:s goal. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Des Plaines River Rats's Sylvester Cunningham got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonas Conrad. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Glen Ewing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Des Plaines River Rats's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Ewing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Ng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Conrad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Jonas Conrad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Monroe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarod Godwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Conrad having to interfere. If Glen Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Conrad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glen Ewing in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lenny Monroe got free with Jonas Conrad in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Glen Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenny Monroe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jonas Conrad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lenny Monroe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Conrad having to interfere. Lenny Monroe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Des Plaines River Rats could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BAC Mustang throughout the match.
