Spectators: 7875 (Terracing: 5907, Seating: 1811, VIP seats: 157) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Thomas Archer took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Lucas Beebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willie Beam charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willie Beam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Dogs FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Archer. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Thomas Archer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dogs FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Archer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denver Baird breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14thth minute of the game Marc Mathis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Texas Cavaliers's Denver Baird was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dogs FC's zone, Lucas Beebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban Carter came out of the goal and Lucas Beebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dogs FC's Esteban Carter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Beebe in the 18th minute of play. Esteban Carter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Beebe in the 27th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Thomas Archer in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Elliott Cameron charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elliott Cameron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dogs FC booed when Texas Cavaliers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willie Beam didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Texas Cavaliers defense, Marc Mathis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denver Baird. The Texas Cavaliers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denver Baird should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes Dogs FC got a freekick which was hit by Blair Greenwood. Paul Bassett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Esteban Carter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Beebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Antoine Chamberlain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Esteban Carter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Chamberlain in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Dogs FC's Thomas Archer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The supporters of Dogs FC booed when Texas Cavaliers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willie Beam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marc Mathis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Denver Baird tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Josef Gilbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Texas Cavaliers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Sheffield to maneuver through the defense. Dogs FC's Derek Hurst couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Texas Cavaliers. Thomas Archer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denver Baird having to interfere. When the match was over Dogs FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Texas Cavaliers throughout the match.
