Delta Football Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Donnie Herring scored to the left of an out of position Robbie Skinner, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Delta Football Club booed when Hood River AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Weldon Burroughs didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 16 in the game by Josiah Mims from a close distance when the talented Robbie Skinner managed to make a qualified save. Delta Football Club's players were relieved. When Josiah Mims came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Hood River AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josiah Mims couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Donnie Herring took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Robbie Skinner to make any attempt to save it. Robbie Skinner was a little too slow when Donnie Herring got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-0. Timmy Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Tang having to interfere. If Donnie Herring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Tang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlon Smith in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Marlon Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Tang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donnie Herring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Robbie Skinner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Smith in the 48th minute of play forced Hood River AFC's goalkeeper Danny Tang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donnie Herring to strike the kick off in the second half. Donnie Herring blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robbie Skinner having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Delta Football Club's zone, Donnie Herring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robbie Skinner came out of the goal and Donnie Herring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Al Dobbins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robbie Skinner was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After having played for 63 minutes, Josiah Mims managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hood River AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josiah Mims was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robbie Skinner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donnie Herring in the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Mitchell Hobbs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hood River AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mitchell Hobbs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 68 played minutes Delta Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Zachariah Dunlap. If Timmy Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Donnie Herring cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Robbie Skinner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Hood River AFC's Mitchell Hobbs got a free kick in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mitchell Hobbs during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mitchell Hobbs hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Marlon Smith struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Danny Tang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delta Football Club. Robbie Skinner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donnie Herring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Marlon Smith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marlon Smith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hood River AFC had played much better football throughout.
