But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeff Christensen couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Alejandro Marsh notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Naples Manor AFC's Wyatt Bryant. Wyatt Bryant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eliseo Aaron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute Eliseo Aaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wyatt Bryant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Caleb Bullock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Christensen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Stan Ferreira made a huge save. Brett Dykes's late challenge caught a Wixom FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brett Dykes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Wixom FC booed when Naples Manor AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brett Dykes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Wixom FC got a corner. Naples Manor AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dillon Fitzgerald ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dillon Fitzgerald made a great header on Wixom FC's corner, it was just that Naples Manor AFC's Wyatt Bryant managed to reach the ball for a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Naples Manor AFC booed when Wixom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Kuhn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stan Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeff Christensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Caleb Bullock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stan Ferreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Naples Manor AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Christensen. Eliseo Aaron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Wyatt Bryant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alejandro Marsh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wyatt Bryant having to make a save. Jeff Christensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stan Ferreira having to interfere. Wixom FC's Alejandro Marsh got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Caleb Bullock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Naples Manor AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! After 89 played minutes Wixom FC got a freekick which was hit by Dillon Fitzgerald. Wyatt Bryant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Marsh in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Marsh in the 98th minute of play forced Naples Manor AFC's goalkeeper Wyatt Bryant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
