Downingtown's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrick Frederick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfred Hinkle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 minutes, Palmer Wheeler made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side.
