Darnell Cannon's late challenge caught a Nicollet FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicollet FC's Quinton Grubb got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Nicollet FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Marsh came free, but Rodger Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Wixom FC defense, Rolf Richey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stan Ferreira. The Wixom FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stan Ferreira should have stopped the shot. Darnell Cannon kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Quinton Grubb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Richey in the 30th minute of play forced Wixom FC's goalkeeper Stan Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stan Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Richey in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the Wixom FC defense, Rolf Richey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stan Ferreira. The Wixom FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stan Ferreira should have stopped the shot. Quinton Grubb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Stan Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Rolf Richey notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Wixom FC's Stan Ferreira. Stan Ferreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stan Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Richey, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half Nicollet FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolf Richey to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicollet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Ruff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stan Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute Eliseo Aaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodger Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Richey in the 71st minute of the match. Stan Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Richey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nicollet FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
