Stan Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Leon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kirby Andrews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Stan Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wixom FC's Stan Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Calvert in the 22nd minute of play. When Barry Bland fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wixom FC's protests and gave Barry Bland a yellow card for diving instead. Barry Bland hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Alejandro Marsh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenneth Candido kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Dean Calvert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stan Ferreira came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mathis FC's Dean Calvert. But to his dismay, Dean Calvert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dean Calvert struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Stan Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mathis FC. In the 37th minute, Dean Calvert made a precise shot to the right of Stan Ferreira. Wixom FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 42 minutes into the game, Mathis FC's Dean Calvert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stan Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The audience was convinced that Dean Calvert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stan Ferreira was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Mathis FC's George Leon got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dean Calvert to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Wixom FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Calvert came free, but Stan Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes George Leon rounded Wixom FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. In the 59th minute, Dean Calvert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Maxwell Keen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mathis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maxwell Keen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stan Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Mathis FC booed when Wixom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Marsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jed Ruiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jed Ruiz came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stan Ferreira could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Wixom FC's zone, Dean Calvert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stan Ferreira came out of the goal and Dean Calvert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirby Andrews in the 92nd minute of play forced Wixom FC's goalkeeper Stan Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jed Ruiz got free with Stan Ferreira in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mathis FC booed when Wixom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Bland didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirby Andrews in the 97th minute of play forced Wixom FC's goalkeeper Stan Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathis FC played a much better game than Wixom FC and deserved their victory. The Wixom FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
