Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 10 played minutes corndog got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Miner. After recieving a nice pass, Downingtown's Hugh McCollum tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Downingtown's Rodrick Frederick in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 14th minute, Benny Hankins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robby Cummings. The goal made the score 1-0. The supporters of corndog booed when Downingtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enoch Schumacher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terrell Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmer Wheeler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 played minutes corndog got a freekick which was hit by Sandy Schneider. Bradly Langston kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Palmer Wheeler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Downingtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave corndog the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benny Hankins was the one to do the kick off. In the 90th minute of the match Sandy Schneider sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robby Cummings skillfully saved the ball. Rodrick Frederick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Palmer Wheeler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the final whistle sounded Downingtown left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than corndog.
