Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5743, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roosevelt Tran started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Sawmills's Bronson Silva got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 9th minute Roosevelt Tran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Wise saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darren Camacho during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 30 minutes into the game, Sawmills's Roosevelt Tran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sean Wise made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Herring in the 35th minute of play forced Sawmills's goalkeeper Nathan Groves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sean Wise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roosevelt Tran in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Bronson Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sawmills's supporters rose to their feet, but Bronson Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Wise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roosevelt Tran scored 1-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sean Wise, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Highland Beach's Sean Wise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bronson Silva in the 46th minute of play.

52 minutes into the match, Highland Beach's Tod Herring sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nathan Groves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ross McKinnon fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sawmills's protests and gave Ross McKinnon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sawmills getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ross McKinnon hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Highland Beach's goalkeeper Sean Wise had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bronson Silva. Sawmills's Roosevelt Tran got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sean Wise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roosevelt Tran, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Highland Beach's Sean Wise proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Highland Beach from getting a goal against them. Wendell Everett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tod Herring struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Nathan Groves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Highland Beach. When Tod Herring came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Highland Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tod Herring couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Tod Herring managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Highland Beach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tod Herring was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tod Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nathan Groves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Herring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
