If Chris Trujillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Trujillo to make the kick off. Derek Hayden made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Merlin Hurley sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Simon Adams managed to get in a good position for a shot. Many's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Adams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brice Garrison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Many's goalkeeper Derek Hayden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Simon Adams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Brice Garrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brice Garrison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodger Hand in the 72nd minute of play. Merlin Hurley kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Merlin Hurley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
