Spectators: 5040 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 40) Sawmills's Roosevelt Tran started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bronson Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Wise having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Highland Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Roosevelt Tran came free, but Sean Wise reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bronson Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sean Wise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ross McKinnon charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ross McKinnon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Highland Beach booed when Sawmills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ross McKinnon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Roosevelt Tran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sean Wise. Roosevelt Tran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bronson Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sean Wise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tod Herring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathan Groves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Herring in the 37th minute of play. Tod Herring struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Nathan Groves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Highland Beach. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tod Herring to strike the kick off in the second half. Travis Creech sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Travis Creech came free in the 58th minute and tried to tip the ball over Nathan Groves, but to the joy of Sawmills's supporters the ball went over. Travis Creech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Nathan Groves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Travis Creech was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Roosevelt Tran put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sean Wise. If Tod Herring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Sawmills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wendell Everett to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Highland Beach got a freekick which was hit by Darren Camacho. Highland Beach's Sean Wise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bronson Silva in the 95th minute of play.
