Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ed McCloud took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andy Cole. Andy Cole dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Quentin Nugent kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Opportunity's goal looked a bit too open when Ed McCloud came free, but Andy Cole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Opportunity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerry Crockett to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mason Minton got free with Andy Cole in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Opportunity booed when Grand Forks AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Bergstrom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Opportunity defense, Mason Minton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andy Cole. The Opportunity fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andy Cole should have stopped the shot. Darius Horne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Opportunity's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Ed McCloud scored to the left of an out of position Andy Cole, making the score, 3-0. Andy Cole made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed McCloud in the 29th minute of play. Andy Cole came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Grand Forks AFC's Mason Minton. But to his dismay, Mason Minton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Grand Forks AFC's Antoine Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Mason Minton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Andy Cole. Mason Minton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. After 40 played minutes Grand Forks AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Cuevas. Thanks to some nice moves Mason Minton could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Andy Cole however easily saved by the left post. Mason Minton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Andy Cole made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Grand Forks AFC's Ed McCloud slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andy Cole. That made the score 6-0 after 44 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duncan McNeill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mason Minton in the 52nd minute of play forced Opportunity's goalkeeper Andy Cole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andy Cole made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Guerra in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the Opportunity defense, Ed McCloud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andy Cole. The Opportunity fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andy Cole should have stopped the shot. Andy Cole didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ed McCloud went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Rene Sandoval kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Lawrence Bergstrom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Mason Minton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grand Forks AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Andy Cole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mason Minton in the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to Opportunity getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Kerry Crockett hit a great ball. When Grand Forks AFC's Ed McCloud in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Opportunity's goalie prevented a goal. Andy Cole didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mason Minton went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ed McCloud in the 87th minute of play forced Opportunity's goalkeeper Andy Cole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mason Minton in the 88th minute of play forced Opportunity's goalkeeper Andy Cole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Ed McCloud notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Opportunity's Andy Cole. Andy Cole was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grand Forks AFC had played much better football throughout.
