Kirby Riley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Heller in the 11th minute of play. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Feria AFC! 13 minutes into the game, Black Stars's Bernardo Greer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kirby Riley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Black Stars's Trevor Wills sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kirby Riley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Joyce in the 20th minute of play forced Black Stars's goalkeeper Bennett Billings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trevor Wills sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trevor Wills blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kirby Riley having to make a save. Bennett Billings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Joyce in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, George Joyce reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bennett Billings. The goal made the score 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Joyce to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Black Stars's Trevor Wills sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kirby Riley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th minute, La Feria AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Trevor Wills fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lee Gregory hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trevor Wills got free with Kirby Riley in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute Gerald Heller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirby Riley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerald Heller in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirby Riley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Trevor Wills came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Black Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trevor Wills couldn't finish the play. Bronson Barrett hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to La Feria AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Darren Thome hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Gerald Heller put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kirby Riley. 83 minutes into the match, Black Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Burch came free, but Bennett Billings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Stacy Beck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Joyce scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bennett Billings, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
