Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 0) Shannon Velazquez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lenny Park got in the 2nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jamal De La Cruz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Otto Madrid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo Salgado's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Arnoldo Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bellefonte AFC's Arnoldo Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shannon Velazquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Otto Madrid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otto Madrid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shannon Velazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes Peoria got a freekick which was hit by Graham Dominguez. A collision led to Bellefonte AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Arnoldo Salgado hit a great ball. Thaddeus Byrd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamal De La Cruz having to interfere. Otto Madrid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shannon Velazquez in the 33rd minute of the match. Otto Madrid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shannon Velazquez in the 34th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Alex Hatch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bellefonte AFC and the Peoria players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Bellefonte AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Hatch. Thaddeus Byrd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jamal De La Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Bellefonte AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Park came free, but Jamal De La Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
53 minutes into the game, Blair Peters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bellefonte AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peoria the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Bellefonte AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Peters to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Peoria's Rodolfo Rosenberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Otto Madrid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Salgado in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Arnoldo Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Otto Madrid was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Arnoldo Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shannon Velazquez in the 81st minute of play forced Peoria's goalkeeper Otto Madrid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otto Madrid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shannon Velazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jamal De La Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thaddeus Byrd in the 87th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, Peoria's Thaddeus Byrd made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jamal De La Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
