Kirby Riley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Daren McGill might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamal De La Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daren McGill ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Joyce in the 42nd minute of play forced Bellefonte AFC's goalkeeper Jamal De La Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Feria AFC's zone, Arnoldo Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kirby Riley came out of the goal and Arnoldo Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kirby Riley had great luck who in the 46thth minute grab hold of the ball when Shannon Velazquez from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Joyce was the one to do the kick off. For all the effort they put into the match, the La Feria AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bellefonte AFC.
