Spectators: 6766 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Thaddeus Byrd got free with Andy Cole in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thaddeus Byrd in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andy Cole saved Opportunity from getting behind. A collision led to Opportunity getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Olin Richey hit a great ball. Gregg Jensen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 38 minutes of play, Peoria's Erik West made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andy Cole was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erik West received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andy Cole came out and tried to block the shot, but Erik West slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Opportunity's Andy Cole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graham Dominguez in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Graham Dominguez notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Opportunity's Andy Cole. Andy Cole was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 66 minutes, Olin Richey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Opportunity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olin Richey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Graham Dominguez might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andy Cole. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Graham Dominguez ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodolfo Rosenberg, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Andy Cole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thaddeus Byrd in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Erik West shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Cole saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andy Cole didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Graham Dominguez went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 94 minutes, Gregg Jensen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Opportunity and the Peoria players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Opportunity getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gregg Jensen hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Peoria players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
