George Joyce started the match with the kick off. Kirby Riley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed McCloud in the 3rd minute of the match. George Joyce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carson Wilhelm having to make a save. Mason Minton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ed McCloud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antoine Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirby Riley having to interfere. After 23rd play minutes Mason Minton shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Kirby Riley and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 27th minute, Antoine Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Carson Wilhelm throw himself and got hold of the ball when George Joyce in the 28thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Dan Cuevas fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grand Forks AFC's protests and gave Dan Cuevas a yellow card for diving instead. Daren McGill struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Carson Wilhelm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Feria AFC. The audience was convinced that Mason Minton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kirby Riley was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rdth minute of the game Ed McCloud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Feria AFC's Kirby Riley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ed McCloud struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Kirby Riley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grand Forks AFC. Ed McCloud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ed McCloud to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Grand Forks AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrence Bergstrom to maneuver through the defense. Mason Minton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 60th playminute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Feria AFC's goalkeeper Kirby Riley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kirby Riley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ed McCloud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josef Burch during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Josef Burch kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes La Feria AFC got a freekick which was hit by Josef Burch. In the 74th minute, Grand Forks AFC's Ed McCloud dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Grand Forks AFC's Ed McCloud got a free kick in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, La Feria AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ed McCloud came free, but Kirby Riley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that George Joyce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carson Wilhelm was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Kirby Riley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed McCloud in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Mason Minton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grand Forks AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mason Minton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirby Riley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ed McCloud in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kirby Riley saved La Feria AFC from getting behind. When the match was over Grand Forks AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Feria AFC throughout the match.
