In the 15th match minute, Mechanicville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clark Hess to maneuver through the defense. Jackson Torrez charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Winston Matthews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Everett Boudreaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everett Boudreaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sheldon Benjamin in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Mechanicville's goal looked a bit too open when Jim McNeill came free, but Mitch Samuels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitch Samuels made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jackson Torrez in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Winston Matthews during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Mechanicville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winston Matthews to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Winston Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everett Boudreaux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Winston Matthews's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Everett Boudreaux firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mitch Samuels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim McNeill in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Houston Woodward in the 59th minute of play forced Mechanicville's goalkeeper Mitch Samuels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Mechanicville got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Grace. Houston Woodward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Samuels having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mechanicville's Clark Hess got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Mitch Samuels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jackson Torrez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Jim McNeill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waverly FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 70 minutes into the match, Houston Woodward had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mitch Samuels. Mechanicville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Houston Woodward was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Mitch Samuels didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jim McNeill went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Harry Velasquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Samuels having to interfere. Mitch Samuels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim McNeill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mitch Samuels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Velasquez in the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Clark Hess hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sheldon Benjamin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Waverly FC had played much better football throughout.
