Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Glen Rock AFC's Jerome Cates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scotty Hargrove in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Glen Rock AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Cates, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kirk Hearn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenny Pierce in the 13th minute. In the 20th minute, Von Ross ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerome Cates was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dale Hoskins kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tad Platt sped through Glen Rock AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jerome Cates. An unexpectedly hard shot by Von Ross in the 36th minute of play forced Glen Rock AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Cates to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Von Ross fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Cates having to interfere. Angelo Roark's late challenge caught a Samson AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Roark helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, one of Glen Rock AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Glen Rock AFC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Von Ross to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Samson AFC's Tad Platt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerome Cates narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Von Ross was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Samson AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 59 minutes into the game, Samson AFC's Tad Platt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerome Cates made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. When Tad Platt came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Samson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tad Platt couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Glen Rock AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tad Platt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 70th minute, Casey Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Roark was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Glen Rock AFC! After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Tad Platt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samson AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tad Platt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerome Cates breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Samson AFC's Von Ross sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerome Cates narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Kenny Pierce came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Glen Rock AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenny Pierce couldn't finish the play. Sal Clayton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerome Cates read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Tad Platt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerome Cates stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Von Ross's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Samson AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Glen Rock AFC.
