SLC FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SJ Earthquakes the free kick. Salvatore Rucker struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Kip Wyatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SJ Earthquakes. Kip Wyatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SLC FC booed when SJ Earthquakes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position.
