The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Angelo Roark's late challenge caught a Waverly FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Roark helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Waverly FC's Jim McNeill got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jerome Cates. With his leg Jerome Cates managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Waverly FC's Jim McNeill fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Glen Rock AFC's Jerome Cates got control of the ball when Jim McNeill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Glen Rock AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jim McNeill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Jim McNeill let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 91st minute shot 1-4 at rihgt post. Waverly FC's Everett Boudreaux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Pierce in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Waverly FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Glen Rock AFC.
