Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Von Ross started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Sal Clayton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Samson AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Sal Clayton hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Sheldon Benjamin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Hearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mechanicville's Mitch Samuels proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mechanicville from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute Winston Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Hearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Von Ross dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mitch Samuels, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Von Ross in the 22nd minute of play forced Mechanicville's goalkeeper Mitch Samuels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Winston Matthews in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirk Hearn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Mechanicville fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Mechanicville's Winston Matthews looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Samson AFC's Von Ross in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mechanicville's goalie prevented a goal. Mechanicville's Mitch Samuels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Von Ross in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sal Clayton in the 38th minute of play forced Mechanicville's goalkeeper Mitch Samuels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Sal Clayton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mitch Samuels, 3-1. With a little luck, Mechanicville's Mitch Samuels got control of the ball when Tad Platt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clark Hess during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mitch Samuels made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tad Platt in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Winston Matthews made the kick off in the second half. Scotty Hargrove took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitch Samuels. Mitch Samuels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. A collision led to Samson AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Victor Feliciano hit a great ball. Kirk Hearn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sheldon Benjamin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Von Ross took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitch Samuels. Mitch Samuels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Mitch Samuels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Von Ross in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Samson AFC's Tad Platt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mitch Samuels made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. 72 minutes into the match, Samson AFC's goalkeeper Kirk Hearn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Winston Matthews. Mitch Samuels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Von Ross in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sheldon Benjamin in the 75th minute of play forced Samson AFC's goalkeeper Kirk Hearn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Mechanicville's goal looked a bit too open when Scotty Hargrove came free, but Mitch Samuels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Von Ross recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute Sal Clayton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Samuels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes of play Samson AFC's Sal Clayton was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Mechanicville booed when Samson AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Clayton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mechanicville's Sheldon Benjamin got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mitch Samuels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tad Platt in the 94th minute of the match.
