Spectators: 6781 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeff Britton kicked off to start the match. Mount Vernon AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Laurence Varner scored to the left of an out of position Odell Carrier, making the score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Enrique Guy took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Odell Carrier to make any attempt to save it. 13 minutes into the match, Mount Vernon AFC's Jeff Britton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zackary McQueen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Freddy Miller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Odell Carrier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Islanders's Zackary McQueen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dallas Swartz in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Enrique Guy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Odell Carrier, 3-0. Zackary McQueen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dallas Swartz in the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Mount Vernon AFC booed when Islanders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casey Lefler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, one of Islanders:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Islanders. Elvis Tobin, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Freddy Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odell Carrier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Guy in the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Dallas Swartz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zackary McQueen. Islanders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dallas Swartz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Enrique Guy made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Freddy Miller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeff Britton got free with Zackary McQueen in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Freddy Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zackary McQueen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dallas Swartz in the 73rd minute. Enrique Guy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute, Caleb Ring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mount Vernon AFC's Odell Carrier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Miller in the 90th minute of play. Jeff Britton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary McQueen having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mount Vernon AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Islanders.
