Spectators: 6766 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Casey Rosado took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Winston Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Cates saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sheldon Benjamin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mitch Samuels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casey Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the game, Jeremy Kirby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mechanicville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glen Rock AFC the free kick. After 8 played minutes Mechanicville got a freekick which was hit by Jeremy Kirby. The supporters of Mechanicville booed when Glen Rock AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ross Weiss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glen Rock AFC were furious when Ross Weiss was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 23rd minute, one of Glen Rock AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Glen Rock AFC. If Sheldon Benjamin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerome Cates showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Winston Matthews, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Winston Matthews was the one to do the kick off. If Kenny Pierce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mechanicville getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jeremy Kirby hit a great ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mechanicville's goalkeeper Mitch Samuels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jerome Cates showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sheldon Benjamin in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Glen Rock AFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Curtis Bouchard hit a great ball. Jerome Cates took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kelly Walsh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute of the match Donny Ladner shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerome Cates showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Glen Rock AFC's zone, Sheldon Benjamin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerome Cates came out of the goal and Sheldon Benjamin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerome Cates made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Winston Matthews sent off a good shot on target. Sheldon Benjamin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jerome Cates tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Neil Chan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glen Rock AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mechanicville the free kick. After 77 played minutes Glen Rock AFC got a freekick which was hit by Neil Chan. Mechanicville's Kelly Walsh shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jerome Cates but with some difficulty. Jerome Cates showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sheldon Benjamin in the 82nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sheldon Benjamin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jerome Cates. That made the score 0-1 in the 85 minute of play. After 90 played minutes Glen Rock AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lincoln Temple. Glen Rock AFC's Jerome Cates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sheldon Benjamin in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Glen Rock AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dale Hoskins to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Winston Matthews got free with Jerome Cates in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
