Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jaime Armstrong made the kick off which started today's match. Moses Medeiros's late challenge caught a Buies Creek FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moses Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pontotoc's Moses Medeiros got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jamar Kemp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontotoc's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamar Kemp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Kaiser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moses Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Wilfredo Anderson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buies Creek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Anderson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kory Scott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joel Dickens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Armstrong might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Kaiser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Armstrong ran back to his position shaking his head. When Pontotoc's Jaime Armstrong in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buies Creek FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jamar Kemp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Kaiser having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Moses Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Jaime Armstrong recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michael Kaiser. Jaime Armstrong showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Michael Kaiser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Armstrong, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Moses Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Michael Kaiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Dickens in the 45th minute of play forced Buies Creek FC's goalkeeper Michael Kaiser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jaime Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilfredo Anderson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moses Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Michael Kaiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Armstrong in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Kaiser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jaime Armstrong came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Pontotoc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Armstrong couldn't finish the play. Wilfredo Anderson kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Joel Dickens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Michael Kaiser was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute Jaime Armstrong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Kaiser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, Pontotoc's Moses Medeiros made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Kaiser was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jaime Armstrong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michael Kaiser having to make a save. In the 91st minute, Wilfredo Anderson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Pontotoc were the better team. Pontotoc's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
