Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reyes McCarthy in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antony Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Blair Moon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reyes McCarthy to make the kick off. Dalton Sylvester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leroy Bernard went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Leroy Bernard struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Dalton Sylvester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virginia Gardens AFC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leroy Bernard in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalton Sylvester saved Fosiedal FF from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kent Randolph during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Fosiedal FF's Reyes McCarthy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antony Leal. That made the score 3-1 after 70 minutes of play. With a little luck, Virginia Gardens AFC's Antony Leal got control of the ball when Blair Moon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Blair Moon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antony Leal having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fosiedal FF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Virginia Gardens AFC.
