The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trent Graves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malzahar FC's Oren Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merrill Devine in the 70th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Houston Rudolph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oren Lopez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leroy Bernard went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Devine in the 93rd minute of play forced Malzahar FC's goalkeeper Oren Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Malzahar FC's zone, Leroy Bernard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oren Lopez came out of the goal and Leroy Bernard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Virginia Gardens AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
