Bernardo Chacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zane Pollard in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Orlando Busch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Chacon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, MONTERREY's Merle Kincaid got control of the ball when Jess Messer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Zane Pollard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MONTERREY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Richton AFC the free kick. In the 12th minute, Zane Pollard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darryl Garner hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes, Julian Hayden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MONTERREY and the Richton AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zane Pollard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bernardo Chacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jess Messer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Busch made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Zane Pollard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bernardo Chacon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Merle Kincaid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jess Messer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jess Messer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Flint Hopper came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Richton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flint Hopper couldn't finish the play. Terrell Whatley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to MONTERREY getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Julian Hayden hit a great ball. After 83 minutes, Jess Messer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Richton AFC and the MONTERREY players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Richton AFC's Jess Messer got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Jess Messer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Terrell Whatley notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of MONTERREY's Merle Kincaid. Merle Kincaid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jess Messer struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Merle Kincaid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Richton AFC. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jess Messer sped through MONTERREY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Merle Kincaid. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Richton AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
