Spectators: 6930 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Jaime Armstrong started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Zane Pollard took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kory Scott. Kory Scott dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jaime Armstrong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pontotoc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Freddie Colbert scored to the left of an out of position Kory Scott, making the score, 2-0. After 16 minutes, Gary Orr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MONTERREY and the Pontotoc players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to MONTERREY getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gary Orr hit a great ball. Merle Kincaid came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Pontotoc's Jaime Armstrong. But to his dismay, Jaime Armstrong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Orlando Busch kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Joel Dickens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuan Dennison during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MONTERREY booed when Pontotoc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuan Dennison didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 44 minutes of play, MONTERREY's Zane Pollard made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kory Scott was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The wind increased when Orlando Busch made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 55 in the game by Jaime Armstrong from a close distance when the talented Merle Kincaid managed to make a qualified save. MONTERREY's players were relieved. 59 minutes into the game, Jaime Armstrong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Merle Kincaid was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pontotoc's Kory Scott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Busch in the 63rd minute of play. If Tuan Dennison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merle Kincaid made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Jaime Armstrong sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, MONTERREY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Colbert to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Colbert in the 72nd minute of play forced Pontotoc's goalkeeper Kory Scott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Busch in the 82nd minute of play forced Pontotoc's goalkeeper Kory Scott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Armstrong in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Merle Kincaid prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Freddie Colbert hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When Monroe Puckett fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MONTERREY's protests and gave Monroe Puckett a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes MONTERREY got a freekick which was hit by Monroe Puckett.
