Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Trent Graves started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Trent Graves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merle Kincaid read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of MONTERREY booed when Malzahar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Mills didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zane Pollard, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 13 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Oren Lopez was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Malzahar FC's zone, Rodney Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oren Lopez came out of the goal and Rodney Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Merle Kincaid made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Nigel Castillo sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 31 minutes, Rodney Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONTERREY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodney Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute of the match Omar Presley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oren Lopez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Zane Pollard made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of MONTERREY booed when Malzahar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derrick Parham didn't get a good kick on the ball. MONTERREY's Rodney Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlando Busch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Merle Kincaid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Castillo in the 72nd minute of the match. When Trent Graves came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Malzahar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trent Graves couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Castillo in the 78th minute of play forced MONTERREY's goalkeeper Merle Kincaid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Nigel Castillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merle Kincaid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malzahar FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Zane Pollard scored to the left of an out of position Oren Lopez, making the score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Castillo in the 86th minute of play forced MONTERREY's goalkeeper Merle Kincaid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded MONTERREY left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Malzahar FC.
