The supporters of Virginia Gardens AFC booed when Fallbrook AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan McCain didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Max Lawrence made a kick off. In the 63rd minute, Leroy Bernard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antony Leal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgilio Faulk in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Leroy Bernard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virginia Gardens AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leroy Bernard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andre Kimbrough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the game, Houston Rudolph was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Virginia Gardens AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fallbrook AFC the free kick.
