Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sheek's Dwight Ewing got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sheek's Ian Rangel got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Ervin Beckman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilmer Yeats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bexley booed when Sheek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kraig Winkler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes, Bexley's Leon Kennedy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilmer Yeats came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bexley reached it. Ervin Beckman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilmer Yeats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Wilmer Yeats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ervin Beckman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sheek's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
