Oren Broussard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Wilmer Yeats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sterling Libby charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sterling Libby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dwight Ewing in the 34th minute of play forced Mormons FBC's goalkeeper Travis Bristol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Travis Bristol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dwight Ewing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Sheek's Dwight Ewing ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Travis Bristol. Travis Bristol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 42 played minutes Mormons FBC got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Hollingsworth. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oren Broussard made a kick off. Oren Broussard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dwight Ewing's late challenge caught a Mormons FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dwight Ewing helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, Sheek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dwight Ewing to maneuver through the defense. Travis Bristol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Ewing, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Nelson Hollingsworth kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Travis Bristol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwight Ewing in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Ernesto Dickson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sheek could leave the field as winners, despite Mormons FBC having more of the ball for most of the match.
