Oren Seymour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garret Hutchinson having to interfere. Garret Hutchinson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oren Seymour in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Ervin Beckman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garret Hutchinson was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The Lyman FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Garret Hutchinson should have stopped the shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Marcus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reed Hand, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Garret Sheppard made the kick off in the second half. If Oren Seymour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes of play, Bexley's Ervin Beckman made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garret Hutchinson was left in no man's land by his defense there!
