Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Houston Howell made the kick off which started today's match. Basil Yost kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Houston Howell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Dubois having to interfere. When Alex Brown came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Eagar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Brown couldn't finish the play. After having played for 20 minutes, Benito Downey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elkhorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Downey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Woody Foreman came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Eagar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Woody Foreman couldn't finish the play. After having played for 24 minutes, Alex Brown managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eagar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Brown was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bill Ramsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Brown in the 31st minute of play forced Elkhorn's goalkeeper Dirk Dubois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Woody Foreman might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dirk Dubois. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Woody Foreman ran back to his position shaking his head. Dirk Dubois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Woody Foreman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Houston Howell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Houston Howell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Houston Howell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tyrone Lopez to strike the kick off in the second half. Dirk Dubois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Houston Howell in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Eagar FC's Alex Brown ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dirk Dubois. Dirk Dubois yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. If Houston Howell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basil Yost hit a great ball. Dirk Dubois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Woody Foreman in the 71st minute of play. Dirk Dubois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherwood Calderon in the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Elkhorn got a freekick which was hit by Basil Yost. Houston Howell took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dirk Dubois. Dirk Dubois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alex Brown sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tyrone Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Downey struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Bill Ramsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elkhorn.
