Denis Ellison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Paris in the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Newton Falls's goal looked a bit too open when Dustin Carpenter came free, but Ramon Crane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Dustin Carpenter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodland AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dustin Carpenter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Crane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bennett Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Crane having to interfere. If Harvey Barrios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Paris in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Ellison saved Woodland AFC from getting behind. Denis Ellison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Paris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Larry Black had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oscar Paris made a kick off. When Monroe Dyer fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newton Falls's protests and gave Monroe Dyer a yellow card for diving instead. Monroe Dyer hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Woodland AFC's Denis Ellison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Paris in the 53rd minute of play. Ramon Crane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Black, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bennett Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Crane having to interfere. Bennett Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Newton Falls's Ramon Crane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Newton Falls from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Woodland AFC booed when Newton Falls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Doty didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Harvey Barrios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Ellison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dustin Carpenter's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Ramon Crane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Newton Falls's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Bennett Campos scored to the left of an out of position Ramon Crane, making the score, 1-1. After 88 played minutes Newton Falls got a freekick which was hit by Sid Soto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendell Kelly in the 89th minute of play forced Newton Falls's goalkeeper Ramon Crane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Woodland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Paris came free, but Denis Ellison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Ellison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Paris, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Oscar Paris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th match minute, Newton Falls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monroe Dyer to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
