Apopka AFC's Francis Booker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Steele in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Woodrow Dobbins got free with Christopher Cope in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cedric Crocker in the 32nd minute of play forced Pima FC's goalkeeper Christopher Cope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Cope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric Crocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Woodrow Dobbins came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Apopka AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Woodrow Dobbins couldn't finish the play. Reggie Bowles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Francis Booker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When Damien Helms fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apopka AFC's protests and gave Damien Helms a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Damien Helms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apopka AFC's Woodrow Dobbins got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pima FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Apopka AFC.
