Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boston's supporters rose to their feet, but Cruz Hodges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darrel Alley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Carlyle's goal looked a bit too open when Cruz Hodges came free, but Darrel Alley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Will Frederick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darrel Alley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Carlyle players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boston were winning 0-1.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Cruz Hodges tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Darrel Alley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Boston's Cruz Hodges got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cruz Hodges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darrel Alley having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Carlyle's Lloyd Carlos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Aaron Dupree made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scottie Huerta in the 95th minute of play. Darrel Alley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cruz Hodges, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
