Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ottawa Hills's Nick Waite started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Daron Wright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ottawa Hills's Kerry Allen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Ottawa Hills getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lionel Myrick hit a great ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Nick Waite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carlyle's Darrel Alley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th match minute, Carlyle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Frederick to maneuver through the defense. Rickie Holbrook could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Darrel Alley made a huge save. After 14 minutes, Will Frederick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carlyle and the Ottawa Hills players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ottawa Hills booed when Carlyle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Will Frederick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dylan Bynum, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Carlyle's zone, Rickie Holbrook stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darrel Alley came out of the goal and Rickie Holbrook tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Darrel Alley managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Ottawa Hills's Rickie Holbrook fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Scottie Huerta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlyle's supporters rose to their feet, but Scottie Huerta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kerry Allen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Scottie Huerta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ottawa Hills's Preston Hill got a free kick in the 30th minute. Scottie Huerta struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Kerry Allen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carlyle. Scottie Huerta struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Carlyle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ottawa Hills the free kick. After 45 played minutes Carlyle got a freekick which was hit by Daron Wright. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The crowd rose to their feet as Carlyle's Daron Wright slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kerry Allen. That made the score 0-1 after 51 minutes of play. Scottie Huerta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kerry Allen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Nick Waite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rickie Holbrook recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rickie Holbrook's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darrel Alley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Kerry Allen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Scottie Huerta went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Waite in the 70th minute of play forced Carlyle's goalkeeper Darrel Alley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scottie Huertas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Kerry Allen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lionel Myrick hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Carlyle's Lloyd Carlos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ottawa Hills. After 78 minutes, Lionel Myrick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ottawa Hills and the Carlyle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daron Wright's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kerry Allen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Lionel Myrick hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Carlyle got a corner. Ottawa Hills's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lloyd Carlos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lloyd Carlos made a great header on Carlyle's corner, it was just that Ottawa Hills's Kerry Allen managed to reach the ball for a save. Darrel Alley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickie Holbrook, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Cramer during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Samuel Cramer hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Scottie Huerta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlyle's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
