After a defensive mix-up in Carlyle's zone, Dylan Grier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darrel Alley came out of the goal and Dylan Grier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darrel Alley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Grier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tom Browning hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Carlyle's goal looked a bit too open when Dylan Grier came free, but Darrel Alley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tom Browning kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Dylan Grier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darrel Alley having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daron Wright stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Blood Machine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Freddie Crandall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darrel Alley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Freddie Crandall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blood Machine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddie Crandall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlyle's goalkeeper Darrel Alley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rey Moody showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scottie Huerta in the 95th minute of the match. If Dylan Grier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Blood Machine's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Blood Machine may have spent more time on the ball, but Carlyle were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
