Daron Wright recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tom Browning fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carlyle's protests and gave Tom Browning a yellow card for diving instead. 12 minutes into the match, Coimbra Team's Bart Manley broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 18th match minute, Carlyle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Browning to maneuver through the defense. When Daron Wright came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Carlyle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daron Wright couldn't finish the play. Tom Browning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leif Sito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Carlyle's zone, Leif Sito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darrel Alley came out of the goal and Leif Sito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rosario Corbin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daron Wright in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leif Sito made a kick off. With a little luck, Coimbra Team's Rosario Corbin got control of the ball when Will Frederick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Scottie Huerta struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rosario Corbin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carlyle. Coimbra Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Duncan Byrne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darrel Alley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 80 minutes of play Carlyle's Tom Browning was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Tom Browning hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlyle's goalkeeper Darrel Alley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Scottie Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coimbra Team's Leif Sito got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
