Waylon Daniel started the match with the kick off. Tuan Dennison who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Alec Mann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 7th play minute Tuan Dennison came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alec Mann. 1-0. Alec Mann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waylon Daniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Tuan Dennison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Burlington FC's Alec Mann threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Waylon Daniel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Burlington FC's zone, Bryan Dickinson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darnell Hickman came out of the goal and Bryan Dickinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Cardoso in the 25th minute of play forced Burlington FC's goalkeeper Darnell Hickman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domenico Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd match minute, Burlington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezra Toth to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryan Dickinson in the 33rd minute of play forced Burlington FC's goalkeeper Darnell Hickman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waylon Daniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Mann having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bryan Dickinson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darnell Hickman was relentless in the 49th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenico Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tuan Dennison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Justice hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Waylon Daniel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alec Mann having to make a save. When Waylon Daniel came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Burlington FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waylon Daniel couldn't finish the play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Tuan Dennison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but REFTS's Alec Mann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alec Mann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuan Dennison, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Waylon Daniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monte Siegel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marshall Doe charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marshall Doe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Bryan Dickinson came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the REFTS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryan Dickinson couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Burlington FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while REFTS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
