Stephen Corona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Oakley's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Stephen Corona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Oakley, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Edmundo Oakley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brendon Crandall got free with German Shockley in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Bellingham Dolphins getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cory Helms hit a great ball. Cory Helms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Stephen Corona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Brielle's Brendon Crandall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. German Shockley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Brendon Crandall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Shockley having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Brendon Crandall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brielle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendon Crandall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moses Burgess hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Oakley made a kick off. Stephen Corona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Oakley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cory Helms came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Bellingham Dolphins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cory Helms couldn't finish the play. Pat Pryor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edmundo Oakley fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bellingham Dolphins's protests and gave Edmundo Oakley a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Bellingham Dolphins got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Oakley. Brendon Crandall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. German Shockley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brendon Crandall came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Brielle fans jumped to their feet. In the 74thth minute of the game Brendon Crandall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bellingham Dolphins's German Shockley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Pat Pryor fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bellingham Dolphins's protests and gave Pat Pryor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brielle booed when Bellingham Dolphins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pat Pryor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stephen Corona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Oakley, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. There was no doubt that Brielle were the better team. Brielle's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
