After 4 minutes, Casey Whatley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RED Mountain Resort and the Burlington FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes RED Mountain Resort got a freekick which was hit by Casey Whatley. RED Mountain Resort's Robbie Aquino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save RED Mountain Resort from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Burlington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Nunn came free, but Darnell Hickman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robbie Aquino made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Tuan Dennison sent off a good shot on target. When Waylon Daniel came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Burlington FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waylon Daniel couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd match minute, RED Mountain Resort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny McRae to maneuver through the defense. Pete MacDonald hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Gerardo Moss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darnell Hickman having to interfere. Romeo Nunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Darnell Hickman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Burlington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Nunn came free, but Darnell Hickman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tuan Dennison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Aquino having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waylon Daniel to strike the kick off in the second half. Randolph Holzer's late challenge caught a Burlington FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Randolph Holzer helped the player get up and apologised. Robbie Aquino had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Eric Haney's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. RED Mountain Resort's Robbie Aquino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waylon Daniel in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Nunn in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darnell Hickman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Moss got free with Darnell Hickman in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tuan Dennison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Aquino having to interfere. A collision led to Burlington FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Sammy Stanley hit a great ball. RED Mountain Resort's Romeo Nunn got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Waylon Daniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burlington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waylon Daniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darnell Hickman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Nunn in the 88th minute of the match. Darnell Hickman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Moss in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Burlington FC's Ezra Toth got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Darnell Hickman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Nunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Burlington FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of RED Mountain Resort for a fine match.
