Rex Ambriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacques Rhoades, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Rex Ambriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuan Dennison in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Orlando Blanchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Burlington FC's Monte Siegel got a free kick in the 16th minute. Rex Ambriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waylon Daniel in the 21st minute of play. Tara Hills's Rex Ambriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waylon Daniel in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Tara Hills booed when Burlington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques Rhoades didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tuan Dennison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waylon Daniel might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rex Ambriz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waylon Daniel ran back to his position shaking his head. Rex Ambriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuan Dennison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duke Latham shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jacques Rhoades charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacques Rhoades the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Tuan Dennison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burlington FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuan Dennison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rex Ambriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Riley Thurston to make the kick off. With a little luck, Tara Hills's Rex Ambriz got control of the ball when Tuan Dennison tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Tara Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Waylon Daniel came free, but Rex Ambriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darnell Hickman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merrill Jean in the 58th minute of play. Tuan Dennison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Burlington FC's Ezra Toth got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Jacques Rhoades managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burlington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacques Rhoades was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rex Ambriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waylon Daniel in the 72nd minute of play. Tuan Dennison could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Rex Ambriz made a huge save. Tara Hills's Rex Ambriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Tara Hills from getting a goal against them. Jacques Rhoades hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Duke Latham, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Waylon Daniel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rex Ambriz. Waylon Daniel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 88th minute, Merrill Jean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Riley Thurston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Darnell Hickman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
